Tiki cushion
February 11, 2016
New products
This bright tiki cushion was made out of old fabric pieces salvaged from a Salvation Army store in Papanui, Christchurch, New Zealand (NZ).
It has been stuffed with dacron from an old cushion that had passed its use-by date and its eyes were made from felt that had been sitting in someone’s cupboard for over five years.
These cushions are a great showcase of kiwiana and will brighten up any home.
This particular cushion has been gifted to a man living in Christchurch who has vibrant art on his walls with very similar colour tones. Tiki is quite at home!
If you’d like to see another tiki like this go up for auction please leave a comment and we’ll see what we can rustle up.
