Donate unwanted items to help reduce landfill waste and support mental health in New Zealand

Many of the materials we use to make the products auctioned on this site are purchased from second-hand charity stores, garage sales or recycling depots. In fact, at Chocolate Fish, we often end up gifting to charities twice: once to purchase the raw materials from charity stores or community garage sales, then again by gifting 50% of net profits.

More donated materials = more money donated to the Mental Health Foundation.

If you want to support mental health but don’t fancy bidding for products on our auction, you can still help out by donating unwanted materials that you have lying about the house.

We are looking for:

• Sewing and haberdashery items such as cottons, fabrics and buttons
• NZ-made woollen blankets
• Small furniture items suitable for reconditioning
• Picture frames and blank canvasses
• Arts and crafts items
• Old postage stamps

We will pick up items for free in the Christchurch area or you can deliver to our Avonhead, Christchurch studio if preferred.
