Community terms of use

• You must register on the Chocolate Fish auction site before you can bid for items
• Chocolate Fish will not publish your personal information or disclose your personal details to any other registered members or third-party organisation
• Chocolate Fish has the right to contact you using the personal contact details provided during registration if required for administration purposes to support the successful closure of any auction.
• As part of the Chocolate Fish community you are expected to respect all other users. Defamation, spamming or abuse of other registered users, or Chocolate Fish as an organisation, will results in removal of your account. Any existing bids linked to your registration will be forfeited and you will have no further rights to those bids. Any closed bids will be forfeited and you will have no right to the items listed, you will not be charged for the items and Chocolate Fish reserves the right to relist the item.

Terms for bidding

• Successful bidders must communicate with: sales@chocolatefish.co.nz within three business days of the listing closing to confirm payment and establish preferred delivery options.
• Chocolate Fish reserves the right to relist items if the registered auction winner has not made contact within three business days (Mon-Fri, excluding New Zealand public holidays).
• Bidders outside of Christchurch requiring items to be shipped must clarify and agree on shipping costs before placing a bid. This can be done publicly through the listing’s comment stream or by emailing: sales@chocolatefish.co.nz.

Freight and delivery

• Chocolate Fish will make all attempts to keep delivery costs at a minimum for auction winners. All costs do need to be covered however, to ensure that there are funds left to donate to charity.
• Chocolate Fish will never profit from the cost of shipping products to our auction winners.
• Items can usually be delivered throughout Christchurch for a small fee.
• We are happy for you to collect items from our studio in Avonhead, Christchurch.
• Tracked delivery throughout New Zealand is available at additional cost. Those costs will be presented to the winner via email once the auction is closed.
